Three Means… FOREVER!!

When you decide to marry someone… be sure that the person you choose is ‘The One’ whom you believe you cannot… ‘Live Without’. Reason is, as human beings we are adaptable creatures. Most of us, at least the first time around marry for the wrong reasons. And not because we ‘choose to make wrong decisions’ —- but because we are not taught the true meaning of what a committed relationship actually means insofar as in the covenant of Holy Matrimony. We can all cohabit with just about anyone as a ‘roommate’—- at least for awhile. We prove this to be true in situations such as growing up with extended family, or perhaps in another home other than that of our parents, college days of dorm living, military etc.

The covenant of Marriage is much more than simply co-existing, cohabiting or living with another human being in the same house. Marriage is about making a commitment to another human being and ‘Giving your Life’ to and for that other human being—-FOREVER!! Marriage is not merely a covenant between ‘two people’. It’s a covenant between ‘three’… both spouses and God! When marriage is viewed from this perspective … people will think ‘twice’ about just marrying anyone because it’s Saturday evening or a wild weekend in Vegas, or because they don’t have anything else to do this summer. It’s a major life decision, that will alter the course of the rest of your life. It’s one of those major life decisions that when taken ‘seriously’ and entertained and entered into with conviction of the true meaning of commitment, and with “THAT PERSON WHOM YOU CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT’—- is—-As Oprah would say…
