Often times when entering a new relationship, we tend to avoid
asking questions fearing that we will come across as prying, or
being overboard, or perhaps intrusive. The bottom line is most
people have a difficult time ‘telling you about who they truly are,
or what they are about’, unless probed to do so. There are ways
to ask questions that will come across as genuinely interested.
Think about how you would like someone to ask you questions.
Then the next time you’re with someone new, gather your courage,
and ask those same questions. You’ll be surprised at how much
more connected you will feel with this person, fostering intimacy
that perhaps you’ve yet to experience.
