Welcome to March. Spring is on its way, and today Venus is working with Pluto to influence motives that might not necessarily be on the surface. Ever wonder what the intention is behind what someone says to you? It will be good to reflect on intention and motivation this weekend, and what you discern and learn can lead to a breakthrough in your relationships. Much of motivation is initiated by feelings — that’s why Advertising gurus insist that purchases are made on emotion, rather than logic.

We’re headed toward a new Moon (Emotion) in Pisces (Spiritual) this week (on Friday), so it’s a good time to use imagination, meditation, and visualization to renew your Faith. This can be faith in your career, faith in your relationships, and yeah — the big Faith. Mars enters Cancer on Tuesday, which means that initiative has has to find its way through some emotional interference. You can do it. Take a deep breath, get centered, and thing logically about what you must do. Prioritize and get it done. There’ll be time to address your feelings after you cross off a few items — and you’ll feel better because you got things out of the way.

How was your weekend? Venus was working with Chiron for a couple of days in the heavens to bring you needed healing energy. In Mythology, Chiron, a Centaur, was a great healer, astrologer, and respected oracle, the last remaining centaur was most revered as a teacher and tutor. You can meditate on that image and think about how teaching, healing, and the energy from above are all interconnected.

Looking toward Wednesday, we can see that Venus (Love) and Neptune are dancing together to once again bring emotions to play for new beginnings. What a week. Heal, Deal, then Feel all over again. You have the sensitivity now to tune in to your higher self, and get what you need from groups, gatherings, and the new ideas and brainstorms that are generated. In two days, the New Moon will help you launch those plans that come from this time with a new energy and a Springtime surge.

On Wednesday, the Moon (emotions) is working favorably with Uranus (discoveries), but showing some tension with Neptune (spirituality). This can work out so that you’re into looking at new things in your career and personal life, but feeling spiritually held back from where you want to go. Is there a project or something in the past that you need to take care of first?

As we started the week, the Moon was in position to influence how you feel about taking an active role at work, and in your relationships. Your confidence is a key factor, and you can find yourself taking the initiative on a project, or leading the way on a romantic outing. Mars is in Geminii through the 4th of March, and this keeps you flexible — it’s always good to consider the input of others as you forge ahead.

It’s an interesting Thursday this week as Mercury (Communication) is tugged by Mars (Initiative) in such a way that you could find yourself speaking before you’ve thought things through. The Moon (Emotions) is also working with Venus (Love) to bring feelings of compassion to the forefront. Put those two aspects together, and you could find yourself speaking from the heart, a bit too quickly. Give yourself some time to reflect on what your emotional intelligence is telling you. Choose your words carefully.

It’s a Piscean Time — Swimming the Great Circle, to the Power of Twelve

The Great Wheel of the calendar year has turned once again to March — Happy Birthday Pisces, my “Neptunians” (Pisces is ruled by Neptune). Of course, if you’ve ever ordered and received a formal Horoscope, you can see that it, too, is layed out like a wheel with 12 “spokes” that delineate the 12 houses which hold keys to the unique and natural characteristics of your personality as well as a secret code unveiling potential strengths and weaknesses, successes and failures in your life. It is the blueprint of you! A picture taken of the sky at the moment you took your first breath. Which is why your ‘time & place of birth’ is so important to astrologers.

In Numerology, One means an Individual. Two represents Balance — Union. And Three? It brings the concept of Communication & Interaction, and of course, the Trinity. Think of the Two Fish swimming in opposite directions creating the symbol in the Zodiac sign for Pisces. Each are individual creatures — One fish by itself. Together — Two Fish — they swim in a circle, bringing balance.

And this month, the number 12 seems to be calling out our attention and focus because Pisces is the 12th sign of the Zodiac, and of course the planetary ruler of Pisces and the 12th house, is Neptune. Let’s consider exactly what all that astro jargon means. Upon looking at the 12th house, or any particular house, we’re actually looking at what it means generally, and then specifically to you. By checking on what planet is transiting, or placed in a particular ‘house position’ on the wheel, as well as the natural planetary ruler of that particular house, we can conclude what could be occuring in your life now and even futuristically. And of course nobody knows anything for certain, other than ‘God’ of course, and keep in mind, too, that regardless of your ‘chart’ and how it appears, there is nothing that gets in the way of your ‘free will’ to pursue anything and everything, you so desire, as you are the ruler of your destiny. Your chart is merely a guide to use as a too

Now about this particular 12th house issue going on right now. This year 2007, and in the 12th house, Pisces, we experience an “Occultation” (a more formal name for an eclipse — two of which occur this month), the end of Winter, and the Equinox of Spring (March 21st). And these two eclipses will bring about much significant change in your life. In all of our lives. So, let’s prepare, and prepare well.

Whew… that’s quite a number of concepts, but they are all interrelated, as we shall see. I like the alternate word for eclipse — “occultation” — since its root word (occult) means that which is hidden; all things associated with the 12th house. Of course during an eclipse, one celestial body hides another, and this month brings us both a lunar and solar eclipse. Plus, the Equinox (when the Sun is directly over the Equator) happens in March. Powerful stuff. Some advice:

• The Spring Equinox is a good time to celebrate as Winter begins turning to Spring (watch for disruptions in Communications though for a short period — the Equinox is known to disrupt Communication Satellites)
• Solar and Lunar eclipses bring breaks in patterns, disruptions, and also opportunities — a time for patience and a watchful eye

Often, Astrology itself is considered part of the “Occult” — a body of knowledge that is hidden, or about hidden mechanics behind the way things work. Most folks understand that the earth turns in a circle around the Sun. This in turn (pardon the pun) creates yet another circle… or cycle of seasons — Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall. Nothing too “occult” or ‘hidden’ here yet. When you move into Astrology, there are charts of planetary movements, the houses of the personality, and more — all laid out or ‘aspected’ in a great Wheel. And if you haven’t studied it — then its meaning and how it relates to you and your life, specifically, as well as how it relates to the natural characteristics of your personality and your personal, professional, and romantic relationships is in fact, ‘hidden’ — an occultation. Once your blueprint, or ‘natal chart’ is erected, then your personality is ’seen’ if you will, by an astrologer. But remember that the actual meaning of occultation is something hidden… by another body.
And it’s not the guy or gal on top of you… LOL

Hmmmm… what’s or better said, ‘whose’ “hiding” all of this occult knowledge? In earlier centuries, it was the church leaders who were against allowing anyone to study astrology. That’s another story for another day. But today, anyone can look it all up, just google, astrology.

So, what about the number 12? 12 months. 12 Greek Gods. There were 12 Apostles of Jesus. There were 12 Tribes of Israel. There are 12 Days of Christmas. 12 hours in the AM, and 12 hours in the PM. Definitely some Mojo in the number, 12. There are 12 Zodiac Signs. 12 Astrological Houses. And… as we already learned, this brings us to Pisces — the 12th sign of the Zodiac. And if there’s one thing I know about you, Pisces, is that you are quite intrigued by all things “occult….hidden.” So, you might also enjoy learning briefly what Numerology can tell us about 12. 12 is composed of the number One, and the number Two. Added together, they make the number Three. In Numerology, One means an Individual. Two represents Balance — Union. And Three? Enjoy the hidden cycle that has turned to bring you a solar and lunar eclipse, plus the equinox — all in the same month. In all of life, practice patience, temporance, and a tad bit of caution, of course… but make sure that you do enjoy your life while keeping your eyes open for new possibilities. . .and always just ahead, around the unseen bend of this great journey and adventure you’re on called… Life!

It’s a lingering new moon and we can thank our lucky stars for this sweet seductive time of year. It’s a new month and new emerging season with exquisite new trends on every street, even wallstreet, and especially so in fashion, colours, design, and especially ’shoes’. . .ladies, take a look at the fancy feet waltzing up and down the runways these days, or even strolling down sidewalks, thru the office or in the park. Yes, darling, ’tis time to throw out those old 80’s (not old ladies) typical boring black plain pumps good to go with everything frumpy look. Yes, I’m guilty, too!

Get out there and blow some dough this spring and Jazz up those paws with pretty prancers sure to put a smile on your face and your partner’s too, and it might even make you feel like dancin’ and prancin’ cuz’ you look so Vixen, and hey, perhaps you’ll never see another lonely nite! Grab your partner, or maybe ‘they’ll grab you’. . . it’s Salsa time!

These days are especially good for open and absolutely honest communication about ‘our feelings’. The sun and moon and other planetary influences are sure to ‘aid’ us in our domestic and foreign communications. So use this time wisely by choosing to say it like it is, but in a nice way, and be sure to ‘not’ mince words. Your honest feelings, are your feelings, and if you fail to express yourself, you’ll carry a bubble on your heart that will eventually burst. Expressive, expansive communications and especially shopping sprees are on this spring’s agenda, so have fun basking in the springtime sun while strolling up and down 5th Avenue or Rodeo Drive, or where ever you are, you’ll certainly find exactly what you’re looking for. You’ll continue to welcome the continued elements of bursting sunshine and significant life changes brought on by our glorious new moon in Pisces closely connected to our awesome Sun in Pisces, throughout the month.

Wow — What a season this spring equinox is sure to bring everyone. And with benefits of dreams come true and sudden change and new beginnings, elated happy Irish times ahead will carry us thru the initial stages of Mercury (ruler of communication) and Jupiter (ruler of abundance) retrograde during the first fives days of March. Initially calm, even peaceful communication with others can lure us into a semi-dreamy state of unreality. Pisces Feb 18 — Mar 20 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Celebrate this month, beginning on the 2nd as Mercury goes retrograde in your sign and remains there until the 25th! During this time communications with others could feel a bit dreamy. You engage in conversations mid-month that give you clues and ideas about your next project, and this could certainly bring you fame and fortune. Pie in the sky ideas that– in the past may have very well never come to pass, return to you now, and you bring them to fruition. No worrries, just enjoy this particular time and ‘talk’ your days and evenings away with those closest or most important to you. And over the next several months, you will put one or several of those talked about dreams into action, altering your life in some extraordinary way. Think and consider writing, acting, or perhaps designing. Spiritual Blessing: Make concrete movements toward your goals of self-espression with transcendent medtiation. Aries Mar 20 — Apr 19 Mercury in your 12th house brings the ‘house’ down between the 2nd and 25th while Mercury is retrograde, so pace yourself in order to compensate for sudden changes and abrupt starts and stops especially in the work area. It would be wise to take some time off, relax and just realize that everything will eventually work itself out; patience and temporance is your motto, now. On the 14th, this lunar eclipse helps you set your intentions and write the plan for financial missions you intend to achieve this year. Put your plan into action on the 29th when that awesome eclipse gives you exactly the boost you need in order to bring is all together, gracefully and with an abundant financial result. Take care of yourself now setting the stage for great health bestowed upon you. Relax, rest, rejuvenate, and hit the spa! Spiritual Blessing: Taking care of your soul will heal your wounds of past allowing ‘true love’ to find you. Taurus Apr 19 — May 20 Stand still, be still and sit still, take care of your inner needs, wants, and desires now, and leave others to fend for themselves. Put those challenging issues on the back burner, they’ll be there when you get back to them after the 29th during that awesome solar eclipse boost setting your sails into absolute action without interruption. Do some soul searching now, and work on yourself. Mercury retrogrades between the 2nd and 25th, therefore, attempting to get your point across may just end up with you needing to repeat yourself more than a dozen times, and as you know, truly this doesn’t work on most people. It only works yours and their nerves. Refrain from making attempts to change existing patterns of your external life until after the 29th. Doing so may set you back even farther this month. Go with the flow and put yourself first. Spiritual Blessing: Spend time looking at you through and through, take long walks and do some soul searching — it’ll do you good! Gemini May 20–Jun 21 Due to Mercury, your ruler, going retrograde on the 2nd, events that you plan now thru late month could end up not going as planned, but no biggie, you’ll enjoy yourself anyway. Allow yourself plenty of time for delays. It’s one of those months where you need to reconsider all your options in traveling, and in making committments that you are considering regarding love and romance and especially if you are thinking of marrying this month — reconsider all your options. Put off those important decisions until after the 25th when your ruler Mercury, goes direct. You’re wise to avoid making promises that you cannot keep, making sure that you complete projects timely. Also, make it your business to assist others, in the workplace especially, will increase your opportunity for a prompt advancement, than perhaps otherwise. Spiritual Blessing: Your success will come thru exercising your personal integrity, and living the example you wish to communicate. Cancer Jun 21–Jul 22 Avoid stressing over things you can do nothing about. Rather, maintain a peacefulness about yourself that will incline the best to be blessed upon you. There is a good idea brewing that you’ve been considering putting into action for over a year. Something especially for you — and you will create the plan to bring this idea to fruition between the 2nd and 25th while Mercury is retrograde. Then after the 29th, timing will be just perfect to execute your plan! You will inherit renewed or increased activity in business or social affairs, that could very well bring you distinguished success and even love!
