Daija View: Fools, April Love, and Palm Sunday…
Celestial Greetings –
Remember how wonderfully foolish things were at first?
Did you ever hear the old song, “April Love?” Its signature lyric goes like this, “April Love… it’s for the very young.” Well, I think those writers made a mistake. I believe it is “for the very young… at heart.” A very interesting synchronicity is that where love is concerned, most poets, bards, and songwriters associate the word “Fool” with it. Hmmmm. April Fools’ Day, indeed. Remember the lyrics, “why do Fools fall in love?” How about the song “Foolish Games?”
“Fools, you see, know the power of laughter, and the shamanic healing that comes from telling the truth in such a way that folks can laugh as they ‘take their medicine.’”
In the Tarot Deck, the Fool card is the only numberless card in the deck. The Fool stands at the beginning, outside of the dance, drama, and numbered story — before it unfolds. In innocence, and with no attachments, the Fool proceeds spontaneously and happily approaches all new experiences. And what an experience, Love can be. Remember how amazing your first love was? Wow… what a sizzle. My wish for you is that you can let go (of troubles, worries, concerns — you know… all that is a bit dark), find that newness again, recreating that oh so special spark! Whether you’re in a long-term relationship, or just setting out on a new friendship/budding romance, there’s love just around the next corner for you. So read on to see just how you can experience what’s about to occur this month for you!
In Zen Buddhism, there is a concept known as “Beginner’s Mind.” It means having a sense of open-ness, eagerness, and lack of preconceptions when approaching something, or someone. Just like the Fool (in love). Just like first love. In the Zen teacher, Shunryu Suzuki’s book, Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind , says that, “In the beginner’s mind (seeing everything with the eyes of a child) there are many possibilities. Contrary to the expert’s mind, there are but only few.” Are you an “expert” at love, or are you open to the vast number of furtive possibilities that exist?
Remember too, that the Fool can be a Jester — in the modern (regular) playing card deck, it is the “Joker.” Fools, you see, know the power of laughter, and the shamanic healing that comes from telling the truth in such a way that folks can laugh as they “take their medicine.” Wise Kings and Queens valued smart court Jesters quite highly. And of course, because there was no such thing as ‘TV’, royalty employed Jesters frequently for their entertainment. Comedy with integrity is a way of honoring the truth in an exceptionally honorable entertaining way. I asked a man in his 70′s once, “why do so many songs about love, include the word ‘fool’ in them?” He laughed and shook his head, saying, “I’m not sure, and I really want to know that answer.” But he enjoyed the wisdom in the humor.
When you first fall in love, you treat your beloved with great respect, consideration and honor. One of the best pieces of marital wisdom I have received, is to continue to treat your spouse like an “honored guest from out of town.” You know… when that person you see only once every 5-10 years comes to town, you give them the best towels, take them out to dinner, clean up your house… and yourself. Can you go back to the beginning of your relationship… and know that place again?
And speaking of such honor… this month also sees the celebration of “Palm Sunday”, which comes from the tradition of covering the path of an honored person with something valuable — in this case… palm fronds. The palm branch was a symbol of triumph and of victory, in Jewish tradition. Because of this, the scene of the crowd greeting Jesus by waving palms and carpeting his path with them has given the Christian festival its name
One last piece of synchronicity… Jesus always told the faithful, that it is “by your BELIEF,” that you are healed and saved, etc. I’m not sure the Doobie Brother’s had this in mind with their lyrics, “What a Fool believes, he sees,” but it seems like a very critical truth. Probably the Doobie’s song was about the negative affect of being a fool who wishes for something that just isn’t destined to be. But, you can be like the positive, youthful hearted fool who believes in what CAN be and then enjoy unfathomably, your new April love that is coming to “BE”. Don’t be foolish (blind to what’s important), be like the Fool — the brave heart that approaches life’s great gifts with honor, good humor, and the courage of innocence. That’s my precious prayer for you, today and always!!

Daija View: Occultations, Neptunians, & the Great Wheel…

It’s a Piscean Time — Swimming the Great Circle, to the Power of Twelve
The Great Wheel of the calendar year has turned once again to March — Happy Birthday Pisces, my “Neptunians” (Pisces is ruled by Neptune). Of course, if you’ve ever ordered and received a formal Horoscope, you can see that it, too, is layed out like a wheel with 12 “spokes” that delineate the 12 houses which hold keys to the unique and natural characteristics of your personality as well as a secret code unveiling potential strengths and weaknesses, successes and failures in your life. It is the blueprint of you! A picture taken of the sky at the moment you took your first breath. Which is why your ‘time & place of birth’ is so important to astrologers.
In Numerology, One means an Individual. Two represents Balance — Union. And Three? It brings the concept of Communication & Interaction, and of course, the Trinity. Think of the Two Fish swimming in opposite directions creating the symbol in the Zodiac sign for Pisces. Each are individual creatures — One fish by itself. Together — Two Fish — they swim in a circle, bringing balance.
And this month, the number 12 seems to be calling out our attention and focus because Pisces is the 12th sign of the Zodiac, and of course the planetary ruler of Pisces and the 12th house, is Neptune. Let’s consider exactly what all that astro jargon means. Upon looking at the 12th house, or any particular house, we’re actually looking at what it means generally, and then specifically to you. By checking on what planet is transiting, or placed in a particular ‘house position’ on the wheel, as well as the natural planetary ruler of that particular house, we can conclude what could be occuring in your life now and even futuristically. And of course nobody knows anything for certain, other than ‘God’ of course, and keep in mind, too, that regardless of your ‘chart’ and how it appears, there is nothing that gets in the way of your ‘free will’ to pursue anything and everything, you so desire, as you are the ruler of your destiny. Your chart is merely a guide to use as a too
Now about this particular 12th house issue going on right now. This year 2007, and in the 12th house, Pisces, we experience an “Occultation” (a more formal name for an eclipse — two of which occur this month), the end of Winter, and the Equinox of Spring (March 21st). And these two eclipses will bring about much significant change in your life. In all of our lives. So, let’s prepare, and prepare well.
Whew… that’s quite a number of concepts, but they are all interrelated, as we shall see. I like the alternate word for eclipse — “occultation” — since its root word (occult) means that which is hidden; all things associated with the 12th house. Of course during an eclipse, one celestial body hides another, and this month brings us both a lunar and solar eclipse. Plus, the Equinox (when the Sun is directly over the Equator) happens in March. Powerful stuff. Some advice:
- The Spring Equinox is a good time to celebrate as Winter begins turning to Spring (watch for disruptions in Communications though for a short period — the Equinox is known to disrupt Communication Satellites)
- Solar and Lunar eclipses bring breaks in patterns, disruptions, and also opportunities — a time for patience and a watchful eye
Often, Astrology itself is considered part of the “Occult” — a body of knowledge that is hidden, or about hidden mechanics behind the way things work. Most folks understand that the earth turns in a circle around the Sun. This in turn (pardon the pun) creates yet another circle… or cycle of seasons — Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall. Nothing too “occult” or ‘hidden’ here yet. When you move into Astrology, there are charts of planetary movements, the houses of the personality, and more — all laid out or ‘aspected’ in a great Wheel. And if you haven’t studied it — then its meaning and how it relates to you and your life, specifically, as well as how it relates to the natural characteristics of your personality and your personal, professional, and romantic relationships is in fact, ‘hidden’ — an occultation. Once your blueprint, or ‘natal chart’ is erected, then your personality is ‘seen’ if you will, by an astrologer. But remember that the actual meaning of occultation is something hidden… by another body.
And it’s not the guy or gal on top of you… LOL
Hmmmm… what’s or better said, ‘whose’ “hiding” all of this occult knowledge? In earlier centuries, it was the church leaders who were against allowing anyone to study astrology. That’s another story for another day. But today, anyone can look it all up, just google, astrology.
So, what about the number 12? 12 months. 12 Greek Gods. There were 12 Apostles of Jesus. There were 12 Tribes of Israel. There are 12 Days of Christmas. 12 hours in the AM, and 12 hours in the PM. Definitely some Mojo in the number, 12. There are 12 Zodiac Signs. 12 Astrological Houses. And… as we already learned, this brings us to Pisces — the 12th sign of the Zodiac. And if there’s one thing I know about you, Pisces, is that you are quite intrigued by all things “occult….hidden.” So, you might also enjoy learning briefly what Numerology can tell us about 12. 12 is composed of the number One, and the number Two. Added together, they make the number Three. In Numerology, One means an Individual. Two represents Balance — Union. And Three? Enjoy the hidden cycle that has turned to bring you a solar and lunar eclipse, plus the equinox — all in the same month. In all of life, practice patience, temporance, and a tad bit of caution, of course… but make sure that you do enjoy your life while keeping your eyes open for new possibilities. . .and always just ahead, around the unseen bend of this great journey and adventure you’re on called… Life!

Ms/Mr ‘hottie’ you’ve been flirty with since the 1st, s/he surprises you on or about the New Moon Solar Eclipse on the 18th. Stress decreases, time to do something nice for yourself. Two eclipses rock your world this month, and especially your work schedule, your career, and especially you’re quite visible, by month’s end when everyone wants you on their team. You’re certainly in the limelight, because you’re loved by many. It’s not only about your charisma, charm, grace and style, but primarily because you’ve earned such attention by how well you’ve managed to create success and recognition for others. Your chipper attitude and more than willing to be there for anyone who asks, gets you exactly what you’ve been asking for. Great positive news for you between the two eclipses, from the 3rd thru the 18th, you’re in learning phase. Everything you hear, see, touch and feel, plays a huge roll in your life, as you begin to realize something about yourself and how you truly value life and how you’ve chosen to live your life. Opening doors for others is great, but you too, have wants, needs, and desires, that need some attention, and descisive action. Howling Moon Marks Tides of Change as Phil Predicts Early Spring
Did you notice the big Howling (The February Full Moon is traditionally called the WOLF MOON) full moon that began the month of February? Full moons happen about every 29.5 days, and this one was a nice, crisp moon in the cold Winter skies of early February. Did you see it? How did it affect your life? All you have to do is ask any emergency room doctor if the Full Moon has an affect on people — they’ll tell you it definitely does, then give you several amusing stories. How could it be so? Consider that the human body is composed of approximately 92% water. Then take a look at what the Moon does to a large body of water, for example, our ocean tides are created and the waves influenced by the phases of the moon. Thus, the moon phases also bring “waves” and “tides” of change in our personal life circumstances and relationships. Human beings are very much influenced by the phases of the moon.
You can adjust your own radar and look around you to awaken to those things the Full Moon brings into your life. Did you feel more alive at this time? Did you party & celebrate (get ready for some football!)? Did you meet someone new?
In Astrology, the moon is associated with a person’s emotional make-up, unconscious habits, rhythms, memories and moods. It is also associated with the mother, maternal instincts or the urge to nurture, the home, and the past. The moon is the ruler of the 4th house — the home and family, and also indicates caring for someone or something.
In Chinese astrology, the Moon represents Yin, the passive, receptive feminine life principle. In Indian astrology, the Moon is called Soma and represents the mind.
It’s interesting that animals, particularly in Native American lore, are often associated with Moons. The January Moon is called the “The Old Moon” and the February Full Moon, “The Wolf Moon”. As a people, the Natives were much more in tune with their environments, and so linked celestial events to the goings on of and within nature. You can adjust your own radar and look around you to awaken to those things the Full Moon brings into your life. Did you feel more alive at this time? Did you party & celebrate (get ready for some football!)? Did you meet someone new?
Speaking of animals at this time of year, did you note that Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow this past week? Punxsutawney Phil is a groundhog resident of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. On February 2, (Groundhog Day) of each year, the town of Punxsutawney celebrates the beloved groundhog with a festive atmosphere of music and food. During the ceremony, which begins well before the winter sunrise, Phil emerges from his temporary home on Gobbler’s Knob, located in a rural area about 2 miles east of town. According to the tradition, if Phil sees his shadow and returns to his hole, the United States will have six more weeks of winter. If Phil does not see his shadow, spring will arrive early. This year, the little guy did NOT see his shadow. Let’s hope the tradition holds true — many around the US can use an early break from the harsh weather we’ve been having.
And… it’s unanimous? Huh? That’s right, though he’s the most famous, Phil is not the only little varmit who makes predictions at this time of year. Nova Scotia’s furry weather forecaster, Shubenacadie Sam, Pennsylvania prognosticator Punxsutawney Phil, Louisiana’s Pierre C. Shadeaux and Gen. Beauregard Lee in Georgia all made it unanimous on Feb. 2 when they, too, failed to spot their shadows.
So… as you enjoy the SuperBowl (if you’re a fan and into US sports), take stock of what the “Old Moon” has in store for your home and family. Look around you and celebrate life with those you care about. And, take heart that Phil, Sam, Pierre, and General Beauregard are predicting that Spring will soon be here. Like the coming of the tides, so are the seasons of our lives.
Enjoy this wonderful festive February by celebrating Love, Health, Happiness, Joy, Peace, Wisdom, Prosperity & Good Fortune during Chinese New Year and of course, make someone smile by giving a very special gift of love or kindness on Valentine’s Day!! Oh, and by the way — Happy Mardi Gras!

As challenges arise, use your creativity to meet and defeat them. Resist creative financial planning, and balance your check book! Saturn (practicality) demands your respect this month. While possible overspending can create dilemmas for you, you have what it takes to strike the right balance between reality and imagination, so create a ‘wishlist’ as next month money flows to you like magic! Spiritual Blessing: The faith that you will prevail carries you through the uncertainties of this month.

This month looks like it brings you an unexpected opportunity or two. Remember to proceed with caution during the Mercury Retrograde period, that begins on the 13th thru month’s end and into next month. This time should not overly restrict you as inspiration and good fortune come about. For example, you may receive some good proposals. Go over them carefully, and then proceed since they will bring new and blessed benefits in your life. Keep in mind that the other signs are affected by the Retrograde in ways that can make all that does come to you, appear erratic — so take heed, tweaking and combing thru all legal jargon in all documents and agreements. And avoid signing anyhing legally binding until after the 7th of March. This can be frustrating to you, since under the element of Air, you are a “get things done” sort of person. Pray for patience. Enjoy the new offers that come your way, think and rethink, negotiating is your tool for buying time on your side while waiting out the Retrograde period until smoother currents carry you forward. Remember that the Universe works in mysterious ways, and beginning something new — that’s good for you — will bring about new opportunities and new relationships. After the 14th you tackle busy times by asking for what you want that will simplify and organize your workload, as well as your desk, this aids in your ability to remain focused. Exercise caution when your ruler, Mercury goes Retrograde on the 13th — plan, listen and negotiate only purchase agreements, and contractual obligations–DON’t SIGN THEM! Enjoy these Merc retro days and plan to take a bit of a rest, it’ll do you good. Now this is absolutely the best month to entertain, throw a party or get together — schedule a weekend get-away, and dance the nites away after enjoying cocktail parties, lively dinners out, and romantic evenings with that special someone. What possibilities?? Endless!! Valentine’s day looks quite sensual and you’ll enjoy yourself this year. You’ll take advantage of a long overdue vacation by simply enjoying yourself, family and friends. It’s time for a little adventure — just keep it close to home, and enjoy! This can be a good planning month for new ventures, too, and money awaits you simply for the asking. But if your ship comes in after the 13th, be sure to wait in launching concrete business plans until after Mercury goes direct on March 7th. Daija View: The New Year, Hogmanay, Boar Tide, and Auld Lang Syne……
Celestial Greetings –
As the New Year Begins, We look ahead… and look back…
It’s a brand New Year 2007, and here’s wishing you a happy one where all your dreams come true. It’s a celebration of new beginnings in the dead of Winter. And this new year is celebrated in many ways, and even in different months throughout the world. Most folks are aware of the Chinese New Year, which will be celebrated on Feb. 18th this year (the date changes since the Chinese Calendar is based on astrological positioning), is the year of the Boar, or “PIG” in generic terms. According to the Chinese tradition, the year of the Boar is one of benevolence, one with a lot of ‘feel good factor’, one of “abundance” and a good year for business. Sounds like a good year, where our bank accounts and the economy gets a little Boar-ing boost, and basically we’ll all fatten up a bit by makin’ a bit more bacon before the year ends.
And remember how magically important this NEW YEAR really is… and isn’t every New Year?? Remember how much love we truly can give each to the other, and how much love and kindness that we have all witnessed just looking at the passing of another year…”
And speaking of ‘Piglets’ another interesting New Years tradition is that of “Hogmanay,” (get it “HOG”) a Scottish tradition with an official celebration on Dec. 31st. One charming custom associated with the observance is that of “first-footing,” whereby the first person to cross the doorway into the home of a friend or neighbor sets the luck for the rest of the year, usually bring symbolic gifts like shortbread, whiskey, and black bun (a type of fruit pudding) to the home owner who then shares them with guests. Who are the first guests in your home this year? What will they bring? Hopefully they’ll be dropin’ off a bag of bacon or $$$, or perhaps they’ll be stoppin’ bye for a quick visit and perhaps share a meal, drink or laugh!
Oh, and you’ve probably sang, or at least you’ve heard sung, the song, “Auld Lang Syne?” I love that SONG!! Guess what… it is a custom that came about during Hogmanay in Scotland, there’s a lot going on with the abundance of the Pig year. . .for starters, Jupiter (ABUNDANCE)… is there any doubt how all these different ideals associated with this new year, are in general all about ‘growth, abundance, ‘fattening up’ our bank accounts, our emotional accounts, and our spiritual accounts, too. And do you know what the words “Auld Lang Syne” actually mean? Literally, they are “old long since,” though in modern English they might be better translated “days of long ago,” or perhaps “once upon a time.” Friendship, memories, a longing for the times that have past. All this harkens in the New Year. As the final verse of the original lyrics by Robert Burns (1759 – 1796) goes,
“And there’s a hand my trusty friend!
And give us a hand o’ thine!
And we’ll take a right good-will draught,
for auld lang syne.”
And of course we all tend to remember the “auld acquaintence” — friends and family we’ve known for so long — when we hear the song. A good thought for them, a prayer, the nostalgia of things past. All this sweeps to mind as the ball falls, and the New Year dawns. Whether or not your old friends are the first to cross your threshold, they of course can play important roles in the “benevolence” and “abundance” forecasted in the Chinese tradition. Is it time you touched base with your old friends for the sake of old times? We’re all connected in the web of destiny, and most can feel this during celebration and song as the wheel of this abundant new year turns.
Remembering what was… celebrating what will be, and is to be. That is the gift of this New Year, 2007. And whether it falls on the Gregorian Calendar date of Jan. 1, in February as the year of the Boar begins, or on some other date in another tradition… the important thing is what is in your heart, and what moves your spirit.

Happy Birthday Capi!! No doubt you’re in the midst of post holiday celebration, and still celebrating for the remainder of the month!! And you deserve it, too. Now don’t get to hasty in your planning before the New Moon in your sign on the 18th. Between now and then, put on your thinking Caps, Capi, ‘mentally’ creating your upcoming plans for the new year. After the 18th, you’ll slock your plans into orbit creating just about anything your heart’s desire. Make sure that you ask for what you want, and then realize that it’s not about if, but surely only about when, you’re going to get it. Spiritual Blessing: Compromise is not a sign of weakness, especially in partnership matters.
Aquarius Jan 19 — Feb 18
When the going get’s tough, you’re the tough one who get’s things going! Your love life is soaring, this month, although it may be in the opposite direction of what you anticipated. You’ll remain stable and unscathed during this transit so long as you refrain any attempt to ‘control’ those in partnership with you. Regardless of the type of partnership dynamic, you’ll have challenges to contend with. However, it’s those areas of conflict in our lives that allow us the most growth, thererfore, rest assured that you’ll feel better after the 18th, & just in time to celebrate a wonderful birthday with the one you truly love! Spiritual Blessing: The strengths in differences, can be seen in whether we clash or compliment our counterpart.

ESP anyone? You’re the visionary of the zodiac and what you see between the 18th and month’s end, is indeed miraculous. Mum’s the word around competition. Rather, display an inquisitive demeanor, along with absolute non-disclosure. Trust right now is between you and the sign post; certainly your ideas are worth much more than even you can imagine. Careful about what you say and to whom, especially if you’ve got an incredible idea pertaining to an innovative business venture or solution. Your mental gymnastics is worth a zillion $$$, if acted on and with the right people & in the most appropriate venue. Spiritual Blessing: Puzzles can be solved, even human ones, when you keep a cool, calm and collected demeanor.

Between the 7th and 21st, you’re rocking and rolling in the networking of business enterprises. There’s plenty of time for that later this year. Right now it’s all about focus, which could be the farthest thing from your mind. Never have you considered such a lifestyle change than perhaps what you’re going thru right now, and will continue to enjoy for sometime, still. There’s plenty of time to catch up on life, and love, of course, when you’re with your heart’s desire. Stop dreaming about ‘her/him’ and make the connection that matters most.

Creating a new image, and even a new life is where you’re at thru the 18th, and all that you’ve known for sometime, suddenly becomes priority to you, and anything that you consider new is simply not good enough, for you. Your life as you know it now, comes to a dramatic halt, where suddenly you decide that what you need in your life, right now is right there in front of you, and all you must do is take it or go get it. And the best part about this is that is exactly what you do. However, remember in all things, especially relationships, there is the consent of both parties, it’s not only about what you want. What’s behind the Cycle of Days, Months & Years?
Once again the old calendar has rolled around into the Holiday season with Thanksgiving just past and Christmas on the wing. Here’s wishing your Thanksgiving found you at peace with your loved ones, and for more Holiday cheer throughout the good times ahead.

“Albeit there are still differences, our calendar system(s) and Christmas are based on the observance of the Spiritual truths of this World. As is Astrology. And just as there are different calendar systems, too, there are different systems in Astrology.”
In the history of Calendars, the cycles of nature are synchronized and shown in periods. It’s interesting to note some different sorts of calendars:
- The Islamic Calendar is synchronized to the motion of the Moon
- The Persian Calendar is synchronized to the apparent motion of the Sun
- The ancient Egyptian Calendar was synchronized to the motion of Venus
- The Jewish Calendar is synchronized to both the motion of the Moon and apparent motion of the Sun (called a “lunisolar calendar”)
Then there’s the Mayan Calendar, which was a system of some complexity involving a lot of mathematics, spiritual theories, and belief systems. Most folks are aware that the Mayan Calendar is supposed to “end” in 2012. But this did not actually foretell the end of the world, as some have stated, but rather a new beginning or time of re-birth. The controversial Mel Gibson explores this in his film that is in theaters now. I believe that 2012, from the look of current world events, is shaping up to be a pivitol year. Let’s pray for God’s blessings and for new and peaceful beginnings at that time.
In our modern calendars, the weekly cycle used is not precisely synchronized to any external phenomenon. This is why I like to show the phases of the moon on my calendars — not because I’m Islamic, by the way — because the moon plays a prominent role in Astrology.
Where did our calendar system come from? It is known as the “Gregorian calendar” and was devised in 1582 by Pope Gregory XIII. Its years are numbered based on the traditional birth year of Jesus (AD – Anno Domini). It has become the widest used calendar system in the world. It is interesting to read more about the history of the calendar during which many countries, and even Alaska for a number of years used a different system and thus were out of synch with the rest of the world. Remember the lyrics in the old Chicago song, Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is… they also asked, “Does any body really know what day it is?” Reading about calendar development really does make you wonder.
But that’s the beauty of looking at the underlying order of things, and a nice segway into the Christmas season, where we are all called upon to wonder once again and regain the hope and perhaps even some of the childlike innocence and belief in our fellow men. Even though, to this day, some churches have refused to accept the Gregorian calendar and so celebrate the nativity on January 7th (as it was marked in the old Julian calendar), the important thing is that they do celebrate it. Our Gregorian calendar is also known to “slip” a bit mathematically over time which we try to correct with “leap years”, but even so still carries within it an error of about one day per 3300 years.
Albeit there are still differences, our calendar system(s) and Christmas are based on the observance of the Spiritual truths of this World. As is Astrology. And just as there are different calendar systems, too, there are different systems in Astrology. What to believe? I think that we can see that human devised systems are imperfect, and so I put my faith in the source of the calendar’s inspiration itself — the visit of God here on earth, incarnated as a human being, just like you and me, and oh, about 2,000 years ago.
This brings us full cycle back to Christmas, and for that day and this season, I wish you the best of the Spirit of wonder, peace, happiness and goodwill toward human beings, today and always.
May the light of love shine upon you all, making each day safe, happy and filled with joy.

Daija View: Holidays, Friends & Family…
Greetings –
The Meaning of the Holidays – Friends, & Family in the Hustle & Bustle…
Here we are at the “HOLIDAYS” once again, and whose prepared? Those who are, good for you! And for all of us who are not, be still for right now, and don’t worry, fret or fear. This is that… ya know… hustle bustle time of year where regardless of how many shopping days we have remaining, 36 or 64… whatever’s left to be done, DOES INDEED get done somehow, someway… Or it doesn’t… and NO BIG DEAL ANYWAY!
Even if something isn’t quite right, or completed perfectly, it’s about the relationship with those whom you love that is most important such as with our heavely father above.
And truly, it’s all GOOD. . .’cuz in the end it’s the people that matter, true?? What’s important is that we’re all still able to enjoy our special holiday time with family and friends relishing in the joy of sharing fun time together. Even if something isn’t quite right, or completed perfectly, it’s the relationship with those whom you love that is most important such as with our heavenly Father above.
So, “RELAX, will ya!!” Those words bring such a smile and a cheery tear to my eyes. And they are still my Dad’s favorite words! Rushing around and trying to do a zillion things at once — is just simply NUTS!! And so I’ve inherited his sentiments, exactly — and so I’ve been told, so much more, I’m afraid!! The apple truly doesn’t fall far from the tree, blessed children of the world! We parents haven’t a clue what we do and don’t do that shapes our kids’ lives and for the rest of their lives. Being a child of a parent, and a parent, myself… it’s apparent, (pun intended) as I reflect, if only I could wipe the slate clean (in my children’s eyes, heads and hearts) dismissing my parental errors.
And just when we’ve all arrived; “Adulthood” — that special time in our lives when everything appears to be, well… at least pretty much, okay — we’re hit with a curve ball and bounced into right field and never expecting it in either our conscious or unconscious dreams. Those parental errors we made when thought we were right… haunt us like demons that go bump in the night. And then, gulp… I catch my breath as I watch my young-un’s at a distance create destructive choices and make some pretty gruesome decisions in and about their lives… with little or perhaps zero noble discretion! “Big sigh.”
Yet, at the same time, I must remember that there is a time when and where I must let go, and set them free, to simply choose to be… or not to be, like me. And it’s my faith in God, knowing that He has them, regardless. This is powerful stuff, and truly sets me — as a parent “free” — of the unnecessary burden of worry, pain, suffering and grief associated with thinking or believing… Oh my GOD… I raised this? Yet, parenting an unruly wicked adult child isn’t what it’s all about — it’s more about recognizing that I was once, too, an unruly, wicked adult child, too! And I know for sure, my father still does indeed love me, and isn’t blind to all my errors, but truly has forgiven me. And that is what I pray for now, that this child of mine will also forgive me, for attempting to impose or have them bound to my back in the olden days worn out 70′s ignorant philosophies.
Although I’m not “there” to put a bandaid on their knee, tell them to wear a jacket, or pay a fine or two, I am still they’re mother, and there’s nothing about that, they or anyone else can do! And regardless of what they believe or disbelieve, just like you do yours, I’m sure, I (we) love our children always and unconditionally. But that doesn’t always mean, that I (we) like what they do.
My father taught me this. And I believe…
and I know, for sure,
that this is true.
Enjoy your holidays with family and friends, and if you have a child out there hanging in the rafters, making a statement or two or simply just trying to get away from you . . . Let him/her go, and just be for awhile, they’ll come back someday, because well, for thousands of years, it’s just been that same way.
It’s a parent’s FAITH that brings their hearts home and back our way!
Happy Thanksgiving, enjoy… laugh, joke, eat, drink, sing and be Merry!

Phones, modems, servers, BB’s anything you can think of pertaining to your smooth operations and consistant communications could cause you headache if unprepared. Back to normal mid month when Merc goes direct, and you refocus on production vs. ‘repair’. An unusual business proposal is negotiated on. Although this project will take much dedication and serious concentration, focus, time and effort, it’ll be well worth your consideration. Daija View: Celebrating the Harvest…
Greetings –
As Fall brings the Harvest, we celebrate under the Aires Full Moon, and a Libra New Moon…
Seasons turn, leaves turn golden orange and scutter to earth to join the brown soil. There’s a chill in the air, but a wishful sort of chill as we celebrate the revolving of the great wheel of the seasons. A festive time draws near, and you can almost feel it now — but why do we celebrate?
Think of the harvest. It is a time when you gather the result of what you have sown in yourself and your loved ones. It is a time when you are rewarded for hard work. What better time to celebrate? Even deeper, there is the movement of the seasons — the turning of nature’s clock in the deep rythym of the Earth. Cycles, familiar yet ever new. How many times have we enjoyed the brilliant colors of the leaves? The first crisp coldness of Fall in our lungs? Breathe deep. This is what it means to be alive! Going through the remarkable changes – from full moon back to new moon – that arrive as the four seasons wane, overlap, and then wax again.
The seasonal wheel is still turning, the harvest will be gathered, and life’s magic is celebrated, again.
Harvesters were able to work under the light of the “Harvest Moon” (the full moon closest to the Autumn Equinox — this year it is the Aries Full Moon on Oct. 6 & 7) and thus bring in the grain, followed by a period of feasting, and celebration. In modern times we celebrate “October Fest” (a reaping of hops to produce beer), and Halloween… colorfully decorated with the bright orange of the pumpkin harvest. Everyone loves the carmel apples, candy corn, costumes, and rich brewed libations that swarm your senses at this time? What are you wishing for — the Harvest Moon is a good time for wishes to come true. Magic is afoot. You can sense and smell the fresh new season.
Ahhhh, Halloween. Scarecrows and dead souls. All souls day. Some fear it is an evil celebration. I’m Christian, and I don’t. You have to scare away the crows if you’re going to celebrate the harvest. And what could be more spiritual than celebrating the lives of past over souls whom have past beyond this physical world? Whatever happened to the good-natured fun of a children’s Halloween party? The unknown is only scary when your faith waivers. Take heart. The seasonal wheel is still turning, the harvest will be gathered, and life’s magic is celebrated, again. Remember carving a ripe pumpkin into a Jack-O-Lantern? Family times shared together in costume, sipping cider? There’s no mistake that people draw close at these times in the yearly cycle. A gathering of the harvest… a gathering in the Spirit. Time to celebrate the cycle of life in the circle of seasons.
Hold close those you love, celebrate the harvest, and make good wishes in the light of the new moon. And, keep close to God as the seasons turn.

Daija View: Pluto… an archetype in transition
Greetings –
Pluto a Planet? Or Not? How does this affect us Astrologically?…
Pluto, if you’ve noticed, has been redefined as a “dwarf planet.” According to the new definition, a planet is a celestial body that (a) is in orbit around the sun, (b) has enough mass to be nearly round and (c) dominates its orbit. The astronomers were trying to define only what “planet” means in our own solar system, without considering planets around other stars.
The new resolution also defines a class of “dwarf planets” that meet the first two criteria above, but not the last. This class includes Pluto as well as a slightly larger object known as 2003 UB313 that was discovered in 2005, and probably several other icy bodies in the Kuiper Belt beyond Neptune. It also includes Ceres, the biggest of the rocky asteroids circling the sun between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.
So astrologically, what excactly does all this scientific hype mean? What are we to do with Pluto’s demoted dwarfed status? Actually, nothing. …Pluto dwarfed or not, is truly acting like what he represents. Not satisfied in the physical, trying desperately to return to his ‘spiritual or supernatural status’ of nothing vs. something.
Of course many people may feel uncomfortable because one of the facts we were sure of — that there are nine planets — has suddenly been taken away. Actually, Pluto’s status as a planet has been disputed for years among astronomers, and that disagreement came to a head when Pluto-sized 2003 UB313 was discovered last year, in 2005. Was this new object also a planet, or was it something else? The debate led to the classification of both Pluto and the new object as dwarf planets.
The new system seems more likely to last. There are now four small rocky planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars) and four large gas planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune). The two groups are separated by the asteroid belt. In addition there are a number of dwarf planets, comets and other smaller objects in the outer region called the Kuiper Belt. Astronomers expect to discover several other dwarf planets in the next few years. Many of these objects are most likely debris left over from the formation of the solar system.
If you were taught a particular phrase to help in remembering nine planets in order, such as “My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas,” you may be wondering what phrase to use now. Astronomy Professor Phyllis Lugger at Indiana University suggests the following: “My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nachos.”
So astrologically, what excactly does all this scientific hype mean? What are we to do with Pluto’s demoted dwarfed status? Actually, nothing. Yet in my professional opinion, because Pluto ruled Scorpio since 1930 or so, and because astrologically, we’ve also given Pluto an archetypical personality to coincide with the constellation associated with the 8th house. That personality represents transition-transformation and the desire of moving from the form of mass in the physical to the form of spirit — which of course is indeed our natural essence of being. This personality while needing or desiring to be seen while here on this earth, in physical form… never exits from the true status of SPIRIT or etherial as in supernatural/spiritual. Pluto dwarfed or not, is truly acting like what he represents — not satisfied in the physical, trying desperately to return to his spiritual or supernatural status with the perpetual tension of nothing versus something.
Yet, while here in life playing his flute, he is physically hiding behind a secretive bigger than life HUMAN ego that tends to erupt secretly, or behind closed doors. More often than not, especially seen in throes of passion, for example, in the bedroom, this personality expresses via extraordinary sweaty exhaustive displays that could take a variety of twists and turns while on our human way to the heights of carnal satisfaction. No wonder I’ve been skeptical of the Scorpian Nature — even my own! We all have a little bit of Scorpio in our nature to some degree or another. And if you’re a true blue Scorpio Sun personality, what you are is what you are, and that’s pretty awesome. Removing Pluto, and replacing Mars, as your planetary ruler will guarantee only that you now will become the second hottest Red Hot Lover of the Zodiac!
Western astrology altered tradition and replaced Mars with Pluto as the ruler of Scorpio. So does this mean for all you hot and passionate Scorpios out there that you suddenly have lost your energy, sensuality, or karma considerations? Heavens no! In fact to the contrary. Pluto, astrologically and astronomically recognized as the ninth planet — or reduced to status of dwarf doesn’t change the solar system at all, nor does it affect the archetype of the 8th house, astrologically. The 8th house is still where your greatest transformation takes place, and in every way, especially spiritually and physically, while present on this planet earth. What I plan to do is replace Pluto with Mars, as the ruler for Scorpio, returning to traditional astrology. And in so doing, my dear tantalizing Scorpios this will only enhance your natural desires for change, and of course, making you all that much actively Hotter and more intense and even with more robust activity in the process! Cool your jets, and relax. . . you’ve still Got it per se, and there’s no need for Cialis or Valentra, just yet!

Daija View: School Days & World Chaos…
Greetings –
The World School of Light & Darkness…
Every parent has wondered, what are we saying to our kids? About life. About death. About matters of the Spirit. Now, with fall approaching at full steam, it’s School Days ahead. Mom’s are doing more driving, rushing around, running here and there, carpooling to and fro and socializing in drop-off and pick-up lines in school parking lots all over the world. Families are finishing the home repairs in preparation for fall and winter, taking a last weekend get-away, and doing a bit of back-to-school shopping.
But in some parts of the world, parents are less concerned with chores, and getting kids to school; and more concerned with avoiding rockets and bombs — hiding in shelters. In the US, two movies came out this Summer that remind us of 9/11. One about those brave souls who perished aboard “United 93,” the other about two more souls trapped in the rubble of the World Trade Center. What do we tell our kids about these events? What do parents in besieged countries tell their kids about the world?
“When we can look through all that shatters, and still find the beauty and blessings from Spirit in the human soul… then we have lived…”
Maybe we’d like to say that “school” never stops, and that in the life of the Spirit, grave challenges continually arise in the world as it is. We can emphasize the strength of Spirit and Love that comes through in the most trying of times. Honor, character, courage, and steadfastness shine bright when times put us in harms’ way. There’s a line from an old movie, “Star Man”, in which a man from another galaxy explains that what he loves most about humans, is that “when things are at their worst, you are at your best.” Stars. Galaxies. Planets. Influences. All of these flow and intermingle as we mortals scurry about on our errands and missions — some light… and some dark.
Much as we would like to save our children from the chaos and darkness in this world-school, that is exactly what we should NOT do. Class has started, and we have to learn to be at our best in a world full of broken dreams. When we can look through all that shatters, and still find the beauty and blessings from Spirit in the human soul… When we can look at troubles with a mature and ready gaze. When we have found the rock that steadies our spirits… Then we have lived. And, we have loved. And we have found order within the chaos and darkness.
So, as you rush into the busy Fall, take time out to touch in with God. That Spirit is always there for you, and you can find it even in times of drudgery, scams, violence, and challenges. No one ever said “school” would be easy. Nourish your soul and remember that it is still a beautiful world. When all around you seems most dark, recall that you are a child of the Light.
