On the equinox, the power of an eternally fighting bull (personifying the Earth) and that of a lion (personifying the Sun) are equal (from Persian Relief). This balanced transition time represents an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of our lives.

On Saturday, we see some stress in the areas of growth, health, and spirituality. This has been a theme during the week, so examine what you are feeling, and make some prudent decisions. This may take a prayer or two for discernment. The Moon also is squaring off with Mars, and so untangling the emotional blocks can help you break through the road blocks. Follow what is in your heart.

“Tuesday brings in the Autumn Equinox… It is a transition time of balance — an opportunity to look at what brings meaning into our endeavors and lives.”

Sunday is an interesting and opportune day as the Moon dances in trine with Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune — a fortuitous group of planets focused on Growth, Health, and Spirituality. It’s time for some Fall exercise, enrollment in community courses to help you develop yourself, and some Spiritual fun that will help you heal and move forward in your life. We also find Venus (Love) embracing Pluto (Transfomation). Transformation through Love — isn’t that what Love is all about? Listen to your heart today, and you will know what to do.

As Monday rolls in we see the Moon working well with Pluto and Venus to carry Love and Transformation into the work week. Wait a minute — what role does Love have in the work place? Well, since Love is a core emotion it is active even in your career. Do you love what you do? Do you enjoy the company of those around you? If the answer is yes, then you’re in a good place. If the answer is no, then the only question is, what are you going to do about it?

Tuesday brings in the Autumn Equinox — an opportunity to look at what brings meaning into our endeavors and lives. On a day of the equinox, the center of the Sun spends a roughly equal amount of time above and below the horizon at every location on the Earth, night and day being of roughly the same length. It is a transition time of balance. The Moon today finds favor with Mars, Uranus, Mercury, and Saturn, so you will find openings to both learn and discuss new ideas, within a certain balance. At work, your team may be open to new approaches as long as they are within the project budget. In your relationships it is a good time to talk about the future. Find the meaning, and enjoy the Equinox.

Saturday finds the Moon under some stress from Mercury, Venus, and Mars. They are the planets closest to earth, and so spin closer to our Emotions at times. Remember that stress is not always a bad thing. The right kind of “creative tension” is what makes the world go around. Literally. In this case, while you may feel a bit nervous over your decision to speak about your lovelife with your partner — when you do so in a measured fashion based on right principles — it will go well.

“…Mars (Initiative) cooperates with Neptune (Spirituality) — a perfect early Fall day to concentrate on your religious beliefs and have a good talk with God.”

On Friday, the Moon squared off with Neptune, but danced well with Uranus — it was a good time for you to try out some new ideas in your job, and relationships. Earlier in the week, our emotional Moon was showing harmony with Saturn (Practicality) and Jupiter (Growth). Practical Growth. That’s a good theme in light of all the out of control problems in the stock market and financial markets. Back to basics are good in your personal life too.

The Moon does show some stress with the Sun (Personality) tomorrow, which usually means your head is not exactly where your heart is. Where is your heart? Always a good question. Take a look at your spiritual values now, because there’s also some stress in the air with Uranus (religion and illusion). Stay practical based on sound spiritual principles. We’re heading into the balancing time of the Autumnal Equinox, which a good reminder to stay balanced, mentally, spiritually, and of course Financially. Balance the books.

On Sunday, Mars (Initiative) cooperates with Neptune (Spirituality) — a perfect early Fall day to concentrate on your religious beliefs and have a good talk with God. The Moon (Emotions) is also cooperating with Mars which means that the spiritual initiative you take today will feel right to you. The other incentive is that the Moon is interacting well with Pluto (transformation) today which means that the renewal you need lies on a pathway from what you feel in your heart to what you learn from the Spirit.

How the Stars Speak to Earth

Did you know that the word “Astrology” is derived from two Greek words, roughly translated as “Star” and “Speak”? Well, the Stars (and Planets) do speak quite a lot about events on good old earth. Astronomers (Astronomy and Astrology used to be one field of study), look to the Stars to learn about history, geology, and make mathematical predictions about celestial events. Astrologers have developed a number of Psychological interpretations for the influence of heavenly bodies. Both believe that all things are connected. So often people turn to Astrology to learn about their own connections — relationships. And, as a framework for understanding the personality, Astrology can tell you quite a lot about yourself… and your partner.

“Your opportunities during this period are to relax, plan things out, and enjoy practices (like Yoga and Tai Chi) that build spiritual energy.”

On Nov. 15th, Mars went into retrograde — yes, Mars. Most people are used to Mercury Retrograde and know that during those times it is best to be cautious about your communications and negotiations. So what does Mars Retrograde mean? The long answer is that it means different things for different signs. A simpler way to understand it, though, is to remember that during a Retrograde things slow down, and Mars is the planet of feisty energy. Put those two things together and a lot of energy that goes into projects in general will now move slower. Moods, desires, and ambition all function on a lower level during this time (Nov. 15th thru Jan. 30th). Your opportunities during this period are to relax, plan things out, and enjoy practices (like Yoga and Tai Chi) that build spiritual energy.

Do you feel a slight depletion of energy today? That can be because Mars Retrograde — Mars is a very energetic planet. Of course there are other planetary influences at work too — Mercury is active and can bring you some stamina this weekend. Speaking of the weekend, it is a good time to relax and take it a bit slow. Do some spiritual and physical exercises. The week ahead is a busy one. Thanksgiving is ahead, and there is lots to be thankful about. Remember not to be over extravagant this week — fit things into a good plan. And, enjoy the conversations with family and friends — they are the roots in your life.

Most Astrologers, as do I, believe in a kind of Divine Government for our World, and a Map of it can be seen in the Stars. When we look at your horoscope, we see how the Stars speak about you as an individual. In the larger scheme of things, God, leads quite a celestial orchestra whose music will indeed inform you — when you listen.

The Autumnal Equinox is a seasonal highlight making it’s debut today and also launching the Sun’s entry into LIBRA — it’s all about diplomacy, balance, harmony, and justice. The expressive wildly communicative first part of the astrological year is over and now the energy is in harmonic balance before beginning a gradual six-month retreat that emphasizes the internal phases of our lives over the external development of our lives.

Today, was simply beautiful on both coasts and all across the United States as beautiful colors began to appear as illusive distractions carrying us away from reality and into brilliant fantasy or our personal state of perfect oblivion (whichever you prefer),  And, the brilliant Aquarius Moon rejuvinates Friday’s oppositions between sweet Venus and fanciful Neptune. So gear up to enjoy a most delightful evening and most delicious week and month ahead!
