There’s an old saying, “as above, so below.” What better way to visualize the energy of the Cosmos than with this photo of dew on a Spider’s web?
On Thursday (05.15), the Sun is dancing with the Moon in such a way that you are personally tuned into your emotions. The Moon (emotions) is also strengthening Mars (initiative), and all together shows that you feel you can get things done today. It’s a good feeling. It’s a busy day, and you can also feel the influence of Neptune on your personality — which may leave you a bit sensitive to the people around you — at work, and at home. Use your imagination in your projects today.
“in the spirit of your heart, find what it takes to start anew. Start what anew? That’s up to you… “
On Friday, the Moon (Emotions) works well with both Mercury (Communication) and Neptune (Spirit), so get ready to speak your heart. This is usually a good policy, though you have to temper your emotions in the corporate arena, and you don’t want to get too worked up in your romantic relationships. Since the Moon is closer to the Earth, and so a great influence upon us, it’s important to follow how its energy is working with the other Planets which in turn affect us as well. Friday also finds the the Moon tugging with Saturn (Practicality). Are you feeling restricted? There’s a fine balance between what’s practical, and where your heart leads your imagination. Make sure you think things through.
As we head into the weekend, Saturday finds the Moon working nicely with Pluto (Transformation). This is a good transition using the energy of Friday in the spirit of your heart to find what it takes to start anew. Start what anew? That’s up to you… but whether it’s renewing an old relationship, looking up an old friend, or just finally getting to the Spring project, today is a good day for it. After a good sleep on Friday night, Saturday brings a clearer outlook on how you can achieve your goals.

As you read my posts, remember that though we perceive each day as somehow separate, that it really is all a great cosmic flow of energy. The influence of planets and celestial bodies are mixed in the flow, like a headlights crossing beams on a highway. And some of yesterday’s energies still are at work even as today ebbs toward tomorrow. Ride the flow, and remember you only have now.
This Valentine’s Day was a good holiday, Astrologically speaking, for vital energy since the Moon (emotion), formed a trine with Mars (sexuality) – so, I trust you had fun with your romance. Where did the patron of Valentine’s day come from, historically speaking? Well, it’s interesting that up until 1969, the Catholic Church recognized ten Saint Valentines. Ten. The Valentines honored on February 14 are Valentine of Rome and Valentine of Terni. Also in February, many cultures celebrated fertility with festivals designed to promote and encourage love relationships upon which the survival of such cultures depend.
“Prepare for a delightful new week of straight forward communications as Mercury goes Direct tomorrow, Monday Feb 18th…”
So it is thought that a combination of February fertility festivals, poets, bards, and even law courts (the rituals of courtly love, a “High Court of Love” was established in Paris on Valentine’s Day in 1400), and of course the Catholic Saints (the Church was always interested in tying its traditions to a reformed version of older secular celebrations) over time inspired our modern holiday. Just remember you don’t have to wait to celebrate once a year, since there were ten original St. Valentines.
This is a good weekend for balance (Feb. 16th and Feb. 17th) — the Moon forms a trine with the Sun, and that means you feel self actualized. Get out and enjoy some “culture” — go to a play, a movie, a museum. This can lean you to self expression — sign up for an art class, drama lessons, get into digital photography. Of course, these are ideal activities to take on with that special Valentine you remembered this week.

Sagittarius is a constellation of the zodiac, usually shown as a centaur drawing a bow, and lies between Ophiuchus (west) and Capricornus (east).
Western Astrology (there are other “schools” of Astrology in different parts of the World), originated around 3,000 years ago, and it’s followers — Astrologers — study the Zodiac as a method of understanding the human personality. The Zodiac is the group of constellations through which the Sun and Moon pass on their sky journey. And, there are 12 constellations used in Western Astrology, where if the sun was in the constellation of Pisces (a grouping of Stars that looks like fish, when you “connect the dots”), then you are said to be a Pisces with Piscean traits in your personality. Of course, there are many other celestial patterns we look for in a persons horoscope, and in those they have questions about.
“The famous psychologist, Carl Jung believed that in Astrology, one could find, “the curious psychological qualities of the zodiac: a complete projected theory of human character.””
We are currently Leaving “Scorpio” (Oct. 24 - Nov. 23) which is the constellation of Scorpius (Latin for Scorpion), and heading into Sagittarius (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21)… the 9th sign in the Zodiac. This constellation generally resembles an Archer when you connect its star “dots”, and in Greek mythology was often associated with Chiron, a centaur that provided instruction for Greek heros.
These days that lead up to the celebration of the Birth of Christ can be filled with the Spirit of Sagittarius — a fun-loving, adventurous, philosophical, truth-loving sign. Of course, it is important to guard against the flip-side of the Sagittarian good points which can manifest as carelessness, over-indulgent, and scattered energy.
How was your Holiday synastry? Synastry? Ok… probably not a word you use to describe the time you had with family and friends hanging out on Thanksgiving. In Astrology, however, “synastry” is a word we use to explore how one person is compatible with another. It involves looking at the two person’s precise (need exact time and location of birth) horoscopes, and comparing the patterns we see there to one another. We look at houses, planets, and different configurations of these cosmic keys to determine how two people will get along. Pretty deep. But you can leave that to me, as you enjoy the turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes.

The famous psychologist, Carl Jung believed that in Astrology, one could find, “the curious psychological qualities of the zodiac: a complete projected theory of human character.” Jung also noted that Astrology provides a “bridge to nature,” (from “Archetypes of the Collective Unconscious”, by Carl G. Jung), meaning the association of the planets, stars & cosmos with the lives and happenings of human kind. He saw in it a link to the human unconscious psyche. And so, Astrology can reveal quite a bit about your self, and your motivations… and also about your close relationships.

It’s almost Thanksgiving… the year is passing quickly! Is your day restful? This week, on Thanksgiving, the Sun enters Sagittarius… a thoughtful and progressive sign with a positive outlook. Enjoy your conversations on the holiday. There has been so much written about “Sun Signs”, which is what most people know when asked, “what sign are you?”. In Astrology, we concentrate on all the other planets, the Moon, and a number of other symbolic influences too. The Sun is a very powerful force, associated with your ego — but to understand yourself, and others, through the Kaleidoscope of Astrology, you have to take the bigger picture — the whole cosmos — into account.
A lot of Astrology has to do with patterns — patterns in the Cosmos, translating and interpreted into seeing patterns in your life. Do you ever notice odd coincidences, or events that seem like they might be connected, but you’re not sure how? That can be due to a certain sacred synchronicity that Astrology can help you explore. For example, one “pattern” we can look at in Astrology, are “triplicities”. One simple understanding of a “Triplicity” is that people are attracted to people that with signs that share the same element — so a Pisces would get along well with a Cancer, and a Scorpio, which are all Water (element) signs. Do you see any patterns with types of people who frequently come into your life?
What do the patterns seen in Astrology (horoscopes) tell you about people and situations? Well, there are several types of “patterns” we look at. Here are a few examples:

- A “grand cross” — when four planets form a square to one another — creates a sort of inner tug-a-war in a person. This a configuration is not commonly found in most horoscope charts.
- A “cosmic cross” — when two planets are opposite each other, and a third forms a square to both — is more commonly found and seen in about 40% of horoscopes. It looks like a “T”, and your Astrologer can tell you the opportunity this represents in your life.
- A “conjunction” (also called an “occultation”) is when two planets appear close together when viewed from Earth. This creates a union of the energies of both planets, and the interpretation depends on which planets are invloved.
Much depends on which planets are in the key positions of these cosmic patterns. Just as relationships vary between two or more people, so do the tugs and pulls of the heavenly bodies in your horoscope.

Saturn is the planet in our charts identified as the task master and is entering practical logical rational Virgo on September 2nd, 2007. Now, to be honest, here, I don’t know whether to dance a Hula or cry big elephant tears, or maybe both? Actually, and I’m not being morbid, but, due to the valuable lessons learned, or that can be learned, if one is alert, awake and open, I happen to truly like the Saturn return myself, and for a variety of teaching and learning experiences and lessons, that no other planetary movement or placement can truly compare. Although Saturn Returns and placements rarely offer a waltz in the lily fields on any day or time in one’s chart, the experiences are certainly valuable. Without Saturn we would be like Laurel and Hardy, and fool hardy all our lives! Of course, there is no such thing as a complete Saturn Return Maui vacation by any stretch of the word. By the same token, it’s not the worst thing that’s ever happened, if in fact, you’re prepared. And I’ve found that in our lifetimes, we do need to prepare for more than just one, two or three, Saturn Returns.
And allow me to expand on this for a moment because a lot of people say, “Oh well this doesn’t concern me because although I’m a Virgo, my Saturn is in Sagittarius, so it really doesn’t matter. WRONG! Or I’m a Sagittarius, or I’m a Cancer, Or I’m a Scorpio, Or I’m a Leo or I’m a whatever…and this doesn’t affect me because I am not a Virgo! Well Mr. or Ms. Sagittarius, Cancer, Scorpio, Leo or Whatever… check your chart again, please, because you could very well be sporting the planet Saturn in Virgo! And, my friend, you will be very, very heavily affected! I guarantee it!
The key to understanding where you are, and why, and how to go about dealing with where you find yourself is all about waking up to what is your responsibility and what is not.
This is the time to have your charts done so you can see exactly where Saturn is regardless of what particular Sun Sign you are. And if you are a Virgo Sun Sign, you are on Red Alert and this is considered a Saturn Return, even though it may not be your actual primary Saturn Return!! Are you with me, here… I think you are. :) Any questions, give me a call. And we’ll talk about how this affects you and what, where, when and How!!
If you don’t know where your Saturn is in your chart or you’ve never had your chart done before, please by all means consider having it done online anywhere is fine, or I can assist you in doing this. Just ask me about this when you call or email me okay and mention this newsletter. I am offering a $50 comprehensive chart. I will need your First name and your Date of Birth, Time of Birth — if you know it , and City, State and Country of Birth. Friends, that’s a $100 off the regular price. I will keep your chart for my records on file and send you a comprehensive copy of your chart via email for your records.
Folks, I would be lying if I said that I enjoyed all my trials and tribulations during my Saturn Return — but there is no need to fret or fear your Saturn Return, either, but to take the necessary action and prepare, for your Saturn Return and you’ll move thru it perfectly and orderly, graciously and quite triumphantly, gaining profitable experience and prospering as you grow into a happier state of mind and being for having gone thru it prepared and ready. And, you will have gained a great experience and knowledge of truth about yourself that otherwise you would have never known.
The key to understanding where you are, and why, and how to go about dealing with where you find yourself is all about waking up to what is your responsibility and what is not. Then let go of that control. Create wise choices and make wise decisions, and then accept the things in your life that which you have no control over. Then you can go on about your business and make the conscious choice to either move on, or feel, deal and heal.
And this, my friends, is what your personal Saturn Return and solar Saturn Return represents metaphorically. And of course, where in your chart both Saturn and Virgo is located and how these two are aspected in your chart, specifically.
Now for all of you Leo Sun signs waving good bye to Saturn and all you Leo’s in Saturn who’ve been celebrating this finale count down, I wish you all a great many valuable lesson learned as well as a great life long memorable sojourn.
And remember this please, that it is by the difficult issues, and things and adversities in our lives that we must deal with in our lives, that we learn our greatest lessons from, that make life truly worth living, that allow us our greatest gifts worth giving and passing along to others as we grow spiritually and in love. Leo friends… please pass on all that you’ve learned to your Virgo family and friends, they will welcome your kindness, care and compassion, and they’ll love you back, or someone else will as they soon continue into their own Saturn Return.
