The Meaning of the Holidays – Friends, & Family in the Hustle & Bustle…
Here we are at the “HOLIDAYS” once again, and whose prepared? Those who are, good for you! And for all of us who are not, be still for right now, and don’t worry, fret or fear. This is that… ya know… hustle bustle time of year where regardless of how many shopping days we have remaining, 36 or 64… whatever’s left to be done, DOES INDEED get done somehow, someway… Or it doesn’t… and NO BIG DEAL ANYWAY!
Even if something isn’t quite right, or completed perfectly, it’s about the relationship with those whom you love that is most important such as with our heavely father above.
And truly, it’s all GOOD. . .’cuz in the end it’s the people that matter, true?? What’s important is that we’re all still able to enjoy our special holiday time with family and friends relishing in the joy of sharing fun time together. Even if something isn’t quite right, or completed perfectly, it’s the relationship with those whom you love that is most important such as with our heavenly Father above.
So, “RELAX, will ya!!” Those words bring such a smile and a cheery tear to my eyes. And they are still my Dad’s favorite words! Rushing around and trying to do a zillion things at once — is just simply NUTS!! And so I’ve inherited his sentiments, exactly — and so I’ve been told, so much more, I’m afraid!! The apple truly doesn’t fall far from the tree, blessed children of the world! We parents haven’t a clue what we do and don’t do that shapes our kids’ lives and for the rest of their lives. Being a child of a parent, and a parent, myself… it’s apparent, (pun intended) as I reflect, if only I could wipe the slate clean (in my children’s eyes, heads and hearts) dismissing my parental errors.
And just when we’ve all arrived; “Adulthood” — that special time in our lives when everything appears to be, well… at least pretty much, okay — we’re hit with a curve ball and bounced into right field and never expecting it in either our conscious or unconscious dreams. Those parental errors we made when thought we were right… haunt us like demons that go bump in the night. And then, gulp… I catch my breath as I watch my young-un’s at a distance create destructive choices and make some pretty gruesome decisions in and about their lives… with little or perhaps zero noble discretion! “Big sigh.”
Yet, at the same time, I must remember that there is a time when and where I must let go, and set them free, to simply choose to be… or not to be, like me. And it’s my faith in God, knowing that He has them, regardless. This is powerful stuff, and truly sets me — as a parent “free” — of the unnecessary burden of worry, pain, suffering and grief associated with thinking or believing… Oh my GOD… I raised this? Yet, parenting an unruly wicked adult child isn’t what it’s all about — it’s more about recognizing that I was once, too, an unruly, wicked adult child, too! And I know for sure, my father still does indeed love me, and isn’t blind to all my errors, but truly has forgiven me. And that is what I pray for now, that this child of mine will also forgive me, for attempting to impose or have them bound to my back in the olden days worn out 70′s ignorant philosophies.
Although I’m not “there” to put a bandaid on their knee, tell them to wear a jacket, or pay a fine or two, I am still they’re mother, and there’s nothing about that, they or anyone else can do! And regardless of what they believe or disbelieve, just like you do yours, I’m sure, I (we) love our children always and unconditionally. But that doesn’t always mean, that I (we) like what they do.
My father taught me this. And I believe…
and I know, for sure,
that this is true.
Enjoy your holidays with family and friends, and if you have a child out there hanging in the rafters, making a statement or two or simply just trying to get away from you . . . Let him/her go, and just be for awhile, they’ll come back someday, because well, for thousands of years, it’s just been that same way.
It’s a parent’s FAITH that brings their hearts home and back our way!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Celebrations are a bit more quiet and whether you feel settled or unsettled you’ll still enjoy them as always. You’re feeling a sense of peace about yourself and your recent decisions. Although you may not have voiced them openly, you know that you’ll have full support once they are visible to those people concerned. You’re in a new place, a different place than perhaps ever before, in your life. After the 23rd, you feel empowered to take on just about anything you desire personally, professionally, or financially, and with great success. Anything that you’ve been working on or toward, or in pursuit of since 1995 will either come to fruition ‘now’ or you’ll let go of it completely. It’s time now to reconsider your options, where you live and what you do and whom you do it all with. Spiritual Blessing: Think about what’s truly important to you now, the decision you make will favorably alter the rest of your life.
You’re in the mood to work, and have fun, too! It’s a wise move to consider what truly makes you happy, now. Between the 5th and 22nd, you singles strike up a conversation with someone new, whom at first you may not even possibly ever in a zillion years consider as a romantic partner. Yet, low and behold, there it is! Real love beckens your call after the 22nd, when you suddenly realize that this someone new… or long time friend, with whom you’ve reconnected, is indeed the Real Deal, and this sets the tone for a budding romance. You’re about to encounter a renewed you by month’s end. Feeling that the holidays are exactly what you’ve been dreaming of, and this year you even make an announcement that truly gets the party ‘started!’ Enjoy!! Spiritual Blessing: Spontaneity is the name of the game; make sure to honor your morals, values and principles while having fun!
Dreamy thoughts about that special someone awaken you with passion! You’re feeling good about yourself, although possibly a bit insecure about your romantic relationship. Remain positive when faced with any conflict that arises, there’ll be considerable long term benefits by choosing to work thru personal and professional challenges now. You come to terms with who you are, and what you believe. You accept yourself as you are, and choose to consciously feel and deal with issues you are facing. This brings about a real healing crisis where growth will definitely take place. Due to Mercury being retrograde it’s wise that you avoid excessive negative thoughts, people, and places that arouse negative memories. Although this project will take much dedication and serious concentration, focus, time and effort, it’ll be well worth your consideration. Long term earning potential is phenomenal, you’re working smart vs. hard! Assertive business negotiations serve you well for the rest of your life! Aries Mar 20 — Apr 19 Put your ideas down on paper! Something or someone is on your mind. That person too, is thinking of you. Your life after the 17th, has great potential for happiness in an extraordinary way. In fact, you could truly turn your life into a real life — fantasy come true. Set thoughts into action by writing down what could even be considered bizarre, by some people. You are in the driver’s seat of your life, and what you manifest in your life now, has much to do with what you believe to be true about yourself, and life itself. Your friends are a source of irritation and joy. It’s true that we choose our friends; family, well, we’re stuck with! You’ll dismiss the personal and professional relationships in your life that no longer serve you well. And by mid month you’re feeling awesome! Spiritual Blessing: There’s electricity in the air when you recognize that you control your destiny!
Eyes wide open about love is where you’re at until mid month, when suddenly you’re back in fantasy land. Spiritual Blessing: Your life is nothing more than what you choose to believe about it; either a dream come true, or your worst night mare!
Reconnect, revisit, revise and improvise! This month with your planetary ruler Mercury retrograde in your 6th house of work, health and hobbies, there is certainly going to be some immediate changes that take place. Being prepared is half the battle. Dealing with all that suddenly occurs can sometimes throw us off course. No worries, you’ll land on your feet, and feeling even better than ever mid month. After the 17th, when Merc goes direct, you feel better about life, love and your pursuit of happiness, basically things are back to normal in just about all your relationships. Your sharp quick mind brings about a favorable opportunity. Thoughts manifest at lightening speed, revealing a supernatural quality of your life; you realize what a true blessing it is to be exactly where you are. Spiritual Blessing: Meditation on God’s word, blesses you with the answer to your most significant prayer.
Now settle down and relax, there is nothing to worry about other than you may just get exactly what you’ve been asking for, although, that could be exactly what you’re so fearful of! After the 17th, your communications with friends, partners and significant others, become much more close, personal and yes, ROMANTIC! And regardless of whether you are in love or just smitten, or even on the fence, a proposal — of some type is in store for you. You’ll handle it well, and feel relieved, yet at the same time, you’re still not quite as happy or feel as safe as you think you want to be. Your emotions may still be bruised, so don’t dwell on your feelings. Rather look at what is in your reality, and whom you’re spending time with and what you’re spending time doing. This is, for now, most important. Spiritual Blessing: Reviewed and revised methods need to be refreshed, and updated. Real Love is yours!
Darling Merc children, your words have huge impact, now, so choose them extra carefully, especially with family. Those closest to you may come to you for help. It’s best to hold off on advising them, specifically, or making a judgement call until after the 17th when you’re thinking is much more clear. Mercury, the ruler of your sign, goes direct at that time. You’re better able to put your holiday thinking cap on so that everything is properly put into perspective. This way nobody gets their feelings hurt, by perhaps feeling left out, or over looked, or taken advantage of or neglected. Now, of course, you’re pretty calculative, and you may very well be prepared to take the loss? Being prepared is your answer. In the grand scheme of things, you feel fortunate. After the17th you make a huge decision about what’s worth having in your life in terms of relationship; you propose marriage. Spiritual Blessing: You recognize that Love is not a feeling. It’s a committment.
Remember what the Holidays are really all about as you enjoy your Thanksgiving with friends and family.
