Daija View: School Days & World Chaos…

The World School of Light & Darkness…
Every parent has wondered, what are we saying to our kids? About life. About death. About matters of the Spirit. Now, with fall approaching at full steam, it’s School Days ahead. Mom’s are doing more driving, rushing around, running here and there, carpooling to and fro and socializing in drop-off and pick-up lines in school parking lots all over the world. Families are finishing the home repairs in preparation for fall and winter, taking a last weekend get-away, and doing a bit of back-to-school shopping.
But in some parts of the world, parents are less concerned with chores, and getting kids to school; and more concerned with avoiding rockets and bombs — hiding in shelters. In the US, two movies came out this Summer that remind us of 9/11. One about those brave souls who perished aboard “United 93,” the other about two more souls trapped in the rubble of the World Trade Center. What do we tell our kids about these events? What do parents in besieged countries tell their kids about the world?

Maybe we’d like to say that “school” never stops, and that in the life of the Spirit, grave challenges continually arise in the world as it is. We can emphasize the strength of Spirit and Love that comes through in the most trying of times. Honor, character, courage, and steadfastness shine bright when times put us in harms’ way. There’s a line from an old movie, “Star Man”, in which a man from another galaxy explains that what he loves most about humans, is that “when things are at their worst, you are at your best.” Stars. Galaxies. Planets. Influences. All of these flow and intermingle as we mortals scurry about on our errands and missions — some light… and some dark.
Much as we would like to save our children from the chaos and darkness in this world-school, that is exactly what we should NOT do. Class has started, and we have to learn to be at our best in a world full of broken dreams. When we can look through all that shatters, and still find the beauty and blessings from Spirit in the human soul… When we can look at troubles with a mature and ready gaze. When we have found the rock that steadies our spirits… Then we have lived. And, we have loved. And we have found order within the chaos and darkness.
So, as you rush into the busy Fall, take time out to touch in with God. That Spirit is always there for you, and you can find it even in times of drudgery, scams, violence, and challenges. No one ever said “school” would be easy. Nourish your soul and remember that it is still a beautiful world. When all around you seems most dark, recall that you are a child of the Light.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Perhaps this is the first time in a long time that you’re actually celebrating life, vs. stressing or striving to do, act, or get something across to someone or anyone else. You’re resting in your own peace and contentment, at least until the 9th when that Aquarius full moon can rock your world just a tad in the area of ‘new’ romance! Although, you may sense just a bit of a ‘cool attitude’ don’t let that keep you at bay, there’s just enough mystery now to provoke something exceptionally real, and long lasting! Life takes on a new appeal as you move thru your month Leo, captalizing on every opportunitiy that your eye catches, especially in the business world. You’re on your professional game, and not looking back. Spiritual Blessing: Strive to compromise in relationships, remembering to never compromise your morals, values or principals.
LOOK OUT WORLD, here I come!! With Mercury (communication) direct and Mars (action) in your own sign, this will certainly shake some things up this month, as well as turn a lot of heads, you’ve got others attention, and you are able to ‘hold’ their focus until you’ve made your peace! Your power planets are rocking and rolling in your most important houses for succcess, transformation and reformation. Get yourself prepared by taking advantage of great steals and deals early in the month, you find those bargains you’ve been seeking. Personal charisma, magnatism and even your curious sex appeal is quite evident, and is working rather well for you in areas of romance.
