Daija View: Dad’s, Nostalga and the Beatles!

Honoring Our Dear Dad’s, Lyrical Nostalga and the Beatles!
Rarely, if ever, does a Father’s Day go by that we don’t associate it with at least one or more of the traditional Dads type of fare bringing on the cheer with beer, baseball, hotdogs, and popcorn! And if your dad’s the artsy or 60′s hippie type you two may perhaps even head down memory lane with a bit of Beatles rock and roll, reciting familiar Beatles’ tunes and top 40 hits in off-key harmonizing, or mezmerizing, and for some of us, even horrifying. . .melodic sync such as dad’s do with their kids while driving to the beach or down memory lane, so to speak.
The Beatles were and still are a recognized and honored part of ours and our Dad’s pop culture music period, since the late 50′s up thru today, bringing about a clear insight as to what generational heritage and lyrical hand me downs truly mean from a rock and roll perspective. And here we are this year, June 2006, celebrating our very hot special first month of summer, again together and while remembering Father’s day, with glee. And especially this year we also celebrate Father’s day in another traditional and quite lively musical way, by honoring the founder and lead singer of the Liverpool Rock Band, “The Beatles” own Paul McCartney!
There’s many more Fathers out there who’ve enjoyed all the above, and more with gusto, than not, I promise you! And year to year we cheer on ‘Our Dads’ and the Men in our Lives, thanking YOU ALL for just being YOU, and simply for just being there! Yet, this year is a very special year as we pay tribute to ‘the Dad’s of the Universe’ granting them their Father’s Day ‘WISH’ by allowing them everything they could possibly ask for, and especially their peaceful day in front of the TV, or out tinkering in the garage, or messing with their cars, or taking their bikes for a spin, and perhaps just lounging their lazy Dad’s Day Off laying around on the couch. Whatever they want, their wish is our command.

And while wives, daughters, sisters, children and friends grant their favorite man’s wishes for another year of Dear ol’ Dad’s happiness, bliss and blessings, may we also send a wonderful 64th birthday wish to Mr. Paul McCartney since this year his birthday also falls on Father’s Day, June 18th, 2006!
May we remember our Dad’s with love and honor, recognizing their love for us and their country as they continue to fight for our freedom. Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers, sons, and brothers, all our men who risk their lives fighting so we can enjoy singing in continued freedom 24 and 7. Bless you all, and thank you too — please know you are loved, and we know you love us, too!
Enjoy your favorite Beatles’ song with Dad on Father’s Day this year, and perhaps you’ll both remember how far you’ve come together, as well as how far we’ve come as a nation since Paul wrote his special song in 1958. . .

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! You’ll even feel more at peace by increasing brain endorphins, helping you to relax and become more productive, and feeling happy. After the 19th, your family or professional demands can get a little crazy, so take heed to gearing yourself and your energy up to handing what comes your way.
